Don’t worry friends, I got your back! Literally, in today’s post I am going to get you ready for Summer through guiding you through some of (my favorite) the best sunscreens out there. Being a melanoma cancer survivor it’s just an extra step in the morning I have to do! Really, everyone should apply sunscreen daily. No matter the color of your skin (light or dark) and if you burn or tan easily. Everyone is susceptible to getting skin cancer. I think it’s something most people think “it’s not going to happen to me. I don’t have a history of it?!” Trust me when I say, it can happen. It happened to me.
It really only takes 2-3 serious burns in a lifetime for someone to easily develop skin cancer. Let’s think on that…I am sure most people get burned once every year. Normal, right? It’s the most common type of cancer in young people and the most deadly in the younger generations. So let’s try to be a little more proactive when it comes to skin health. Below are some of my favorite mineral sunscreens.
If you are going on a boat or exposed to direct sun on the beach, it’s best to use something with ZINC. Or a mineral sunscreen is best. They are the ones that can leave a white film if they are not rubbed in good. Check out these below.
